The losses of Houthi militias in the battlefronts of Hodeida, Saada and Nehim have been on the rise due to the Yemeni army’s latest operations, like reported by aawsat.com.
September Net reported Tuesday that Arab Coalition airstrikes targeted a gathering of insurgents south of Hodeida, leaving at least 100 armed men dead.
The raid, which achieved its goals with high accuracy, led to the death of all Houthis on site.
Battlefield sources revealed that other airstrikes destroyed an arms warehouse north of Hodeida. In Razih, Houthi commander Youssef Ali Mesfer along with dozens of militants were killed in a military operation carried out by the Yemeni army backed by Coalition forces.
The sources added that the army is within 27 kilometers of Maran, the hometown of Houthi leader Abdelmalik al-Houthi and the stronghold of his group.
Further, sources stated that at least nine Houthis, including a leader, were killed on Tuesday in Nehim, northeast of Sana’a, when government forces repelled an attack launched by the militias.
The sources said the thwarted attack aimed to target army bases on the outskirts of Barran. Among the dead is a Houthi commander named Abou Yehia al-Mashraai.
Major General Mohammed al-Maqdeshi chaired on Tuesday a military meeting to stress the importance of mobilizing and unifying forces, and defeat Houthi militias.
Maqdeshi commended the army’s achievements in al-Jawf, and said it was important to move forward with the liberation of the rest of the province and move on neighboring Saada.
“Houthi militias are collapsing as the army advances on different battlefronts,” Maqdeshi stated.
