U.S. air forces killed dozens of Islamic State members in a strike on two training camps in Yemen, according to Pentagon.
The camps in al-Bayda province were being used to train new fighters using AK-47s, machine guns and rocket-propelled grenade launchers, the Pentagon said in a statement.
Islamic State has used ungoverned areas in Yemen to plot, direct, instigate, resource and recruit for attacks against America and its allies around the world, it said.
As it was reported earlier leader of the Islamic State Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi plans a new wave of terrorist attacks in European countries – in order to boost the fighters’ morale after they suffered heavy losses in Iraq and Syria.
The Telegraph reported that referring to Lahur Talabany , ‘the head of Kurdish intelligence who has been heavily involved in the military campaign to liberate Mosul from the ISIS’, as the outlet put it.
