The Kurdistan Security Council (KRSC) on Sunday announced that the ISIS education chief in Iraq was injured in an airstrike by the US-led coalition, like reported by aranews.net.
“Hassan Saoud Khalil Khalifa Al-Jabouri, also known as Abu Talout, was targeted in his house in the Rifaai neighborhood, West Mosul,” the KRSC said.
“On the same day, targeted @CJTFOIR airstrikes killed ISIS’s Head of Education Department (Diwan), Ali Raza Mahmoud, in Tal Afar, West Mosul,” the KRSC added.
The intelligence was provided by the Kurdish security forces to the US-led coalition.
“Separately, ISIS shot and killed three civilians fleeing Eslah Zirai neighborhood in West Mosul,” the KRSC added.
The Kurdish Counter-Terrorism Department and the US-led coalition cooperate since August 2014 to remove ISIS leadership from the battlefield. They started to carry out joint operations in 2015.
The Kurds have provided intelligence to the US-led coalition which led to targeted airstrikes taking out local senior ISIS leaders such as Mullah Shwan in September 2015 near Hawija and Falah al-Kurdi in October 2015.
Moreover, on 17 April a coalition airstrike killed an ISIS security chief, Ammar Hassan Mohamad Hassan, and nine others, the KRSC said.
