The operation launched by the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on June 6, dubbed the ‘Great Battle’ to liberate Raqqa from ISIS, continues at full force.
Speaking to ANHA about the latest situation, SDF Commander Rojda Felat stated that SDF forces are making further advances in the neighborhoods of Raqqa with great morale.
Rojda Felat said SDF forces are fighting in the city center at the moment and have liberated 70% of the city since the launch of the campaign.
SDF Command member Rojda Felat noted that their goal to liberate Raqqa is reaching its final stages and added: “Raqqa city, the so-called capital of the terror organisation ISIS, is about to fall, especially with the imminent liberation of the Mansura neighbourhood in city center.”
