“The United Nations stated during the second International Anti-Terrorism conference that more than 30 thousand fighters of ISIL came from 100 countries have come to Iraq, Syria and Libya to join the terrorist groups’ ranks,” Iraqi News reported.
The second International Anti-Terrorism Conference was held in Iraqi capital Baghdad late last week with the participation of representatives from 50 countries and 70 global experts.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in his speech at the opening ceremony of the conference said that ISIL in Iraq and Syria has resorted to the most dreadful acts. The conference was also titled as ‘The World with Iraq against ISIL’.
Abadi also called the world to support Iraq against ISIL, emphasizing Iraq’s need for more rehabilitation, training and aid.
