U.S. President Donald Trump has expanded powers of the Pentagon in Iraq and Syria, Associated Press reported.
It was noted that the American leader gave Defense Secretary Jim Mattis the authority to send more forces into Syria and Iraq.
The corresponding decision was made in order to retake Raqqa from the Islamic State group, which has used the city as a de facto capital.
