Paris was plunged into terror as a knife attack in the suburb of Trappes left one person dead and two others seriously wounded.
The knife attacker was then shot down by police and killed, the source said.
BFM TV said the attacker shouted “Allahu akbar.”
Trappes is an underprivileged town situated in an overall wealthy area west of Paris.
