Boko Haram fighters killed 29 people following two attacks in Borno State, like reported by punchng.com.
The insurgents slaughtered 20 farmers in Ngamgam village, Mobbar Local Government Area of the state.
Ngamgam is about 50 kilometres from Damasak, which is at the border between Nigeria and Niger Republic.
A security source told our correspondent that the attack forced the majority of the people to flee Ngamgam to Damasak.
The source said, “We got information that suspected members of the terrorist group attacked Ngamgam settlement and killed 20 farmers on their farms.”
The insurgents were alleged to have attacked Kaula village in Guzamala LGA of the troubled state, killing nine persons and carting away food and livestock.
A leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force in the state, Abba-Aji Kalli, told our correspondent on the telephone that they had been informed about the killing of nine people in Kaula.
