The Libyan Mufti, Sheikh Sadiq Al-Gharyani, said the Libyan Fatwa House is completely in the direction of the national reconciliation, pointing out that the FH is keen to see it happen.
In an interview on Tanasuh TV, the Libyan Mufti said the reconciliation that does not abide by the Islamic Sharia nor does it abide by giving the wronged their due rights will lead to more oppression and bloodshed.
“I urge for executing the sentences of plunder crimes via the judiciary.” The Mufti remarked, calling on the Security Backup Squad to put pressure on the Supreme Judicial Council in order to implement the verdicts, stressing that all Libyans must disown and never defend the criminals and oppressors.
The Mufti also warned all the revolutionary fighters of the “discouraging” persons who have been willing to halt their advance, reaffirming that the revolutionaries in Benghazi are defending themselves and their families against what he described “the assailant”, stressing that the main battle in Libya is the one in Benghazi.
