Israeli security forces thwarted a planned large terrorist attack on Thursday, in a collaborative effort involving the Shin Bet security agency, the Border Police and the Israel Defense Forces.
Five Palestinians from Hebron were arrested upon arriving in Eizariya, a Palestinian town east of Jerusalem, on suspicion of planning to commit an attack.
Security forces believe the five were on their way to commit an act of terrorism, likely soon after arriving in the Jerusalem area. The five, who set out from Hebron Thursday morning, left suicide notes expressing their plans to commit a terrorist attack in Israel.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, IDF and Border Police troops razed the homes of the Palestinian terrorists involved in the terrorist murder of Border Police Staff Sgt. Hadas Malka on June 16.
