Heavy clashes have erupted early this morning in Tripoli, with news about blocking roads from down town Tripoli at 11 July Bridge up to Tajoura, like reported by libyanexpress.com.
The clashes have been taken place since Monday around Tripoli Mitiga Airport, at the area known as Ghararat.
According to local media, five people were killed and others injured in the clashes that are mainly between Special Deterrent Force and armed groups from Ghararat.
In the meantime, after short shutdown of Mitiga Airport on Monday then resumption on the same day, the airport announced this morning that flights are all stopped and might be redirected to Misurata Airport.
Sources from the capital also reported that clashes re still raging on with sounds of RPGs and heavy weapons coming from the area of fighting.
