In the fight against Islamic terrorism, the Australian Government has called for greater cooperation with social media giants.
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton on Tuesday attended a counter-terrorism meeting in Jakarta where Agung Yudha, Indonesia’s Twitter chief, gave a presentation on how the platform was working to fight against terrorism.
According to Xinhua news agency, Yudha told representatives from nine countries that Twitter suspended more than 1.2 million accounts of users suspected to be involved in terrorist activity between August 2015 and December 2017.
