The Afghan Special Forces freed two oil tankers who were abducted by Taliban militants in northern Faryab province, like reported by khaama.com.
The Special Operations Corps in a statement said the Special Forces conducted an operation in Chashma-e Sher area of Baghlan province.
The statement further added that the Special Forces killed 5 Taliban militants and freed 2 oil tankes drivers during the raid.
Furthermore, the Special Operations Corps said the Air Forces also supported the Special Forces during the operation.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the operation so far.
