The Afghan military in the East has put the latest casualties’ toll of ISIS militants in Kunar province at least 56, like reported by khaama.com.
The 201st Silab Corps in a statement said Sunday that the Afghan Air Force and artillery units of the military pounded ISIS positions in Landalam and Digal areas of Chapa Dara district and Kandigal area of Manogi district leaving at least 56 militants dead or wounded.
The statement further added that 43 of the militants were killed and 2 others were wounded in Chapa Dara district while 5 others were killed and 6 more were wounded in Manogi district.
The Ministry of Defense had earlier said at least 43 militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were killed in two separate airstrikes which were conducted in eastern Kunar province.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said the airstrikes targeted two training camps of the terror group in Chapara district.
The statement further added that several Pakistani and Uzbek nationals were also among those killed.
