The public uprising forces have killed at least four militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in eastern Nangarhr province of Afghanistan, like reported by khaama.com.
According to the local officials, the militants were killed during the clashes in the vicinity of Nazian district.
The provincial government media office also confirmed the killing of four ISIS militants including three Pakistanis during the clashes with the public uprising forces.
A statement by the provincial government said a clash broke out between the public uprising forces and ISIS militants in Nazian district late on Sunday night.
The statement further added that four ISIS militants were killed and two suspects were arrested during the clashes.
At least three of the militants killed during the clashes hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, the statement said, adding that the dead bodies of the IS militants, three assault rifles, and a suicide bombing vest were also left in the area.
One of the militants killed during the clashes hailed from the same district (Nazian) where the clashes took place, the statement added.
The anti-government armed militant groups including the IS loyalists have not commented regarding the report so far.
