The security forces conducted airstrikes target a gathering of Taliban and their fighting positions in Balkh province, like reported by khaama.com.
The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement that the security forces conducted the airstrikes in Zara district of Balkh.
The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 20 Taliban militants and wounded several others.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the airstrikes also destroyed an explosives and weapons cache, a Dshk heavy machine gun and several Improvised Explosive Devices.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
