An army spokesman in the southern region, Ahmad Sadeq Eisa said Wednesday the air raids were conducted late Tuesday night against the Taliban hideout outside provincial capital Tirin Kot.
Xinhua news agency said besides killing eight militants on the spot, the air raids also injured four others.
