A clash broke out between Daesh fighters and security force members after the insurgents attacked police check posts on Saturday night.
At least eight Daesh militants were killed in a clash with security forces late Saturday night in Kunar province, the Ministry of Interior said on Monday like reported by tolonews.com.
According to a statement issued by the MoI the clash took place after a number of Daesh militants attacked several police check posts in Shage village of Sayedabad capital of Kunar province.
Four other Daesh militants were wounded in the clash, MoI said.
Two police soldiers were also wounded in the clash, the statement added.
No further details were provided.
