At least 20 Daesh insurgents were killed by security forces in the past two days in Darzab district of northern Jawzjan province, local officials said on Wednesday according to tolonews.com.
In addition, 12 other insurgents were wounded. On Monday night, Daesh insurgents attacked security check posts in the district, provincial police chief Rahmatullah Turkmestani said.
“The clash continued until midnight on Tuesday. Six security force members were also killed and three others were wounded,” Turkmenistani said. According to him, another clash at the same time had been underway between Afghan National Army Commandos and residents, who support security forces, in the northern parts of the same district.
