As many as 16 Taliban militants have been killed in a premature explosion in Afghanistan’s central-eastern Ghazni province, police said Monday, like reported by 1tvnews.af.
The incident happened in Moshaki area of Qarabagh district when the insurgents were busy with making improvised explosive devices in a house, the provincial police said in a statement.
Sixteen IEDs, which were made for roadside bombings, were also destroyed in the explosion, according to the statement.
Taliban has yet to make comment on the incident.
