Syrian Air Force jet fighters destroyed the Nusra Front militant group’s headquarters and training camp near the Golan Heights, Al-Manar television reported Sunday.
The Lebanon-based news channel cited sources as saying the air raid of southwest Syria’s Quneitra province killed 120 gunmen, among them three field commanders.
The Syrian army has been engaged on three fronts since the start of its internal conflict four years ago. Apart from the Nusra Front, government forces have been fighting numerous opposition fighters and the extremist Islamic State group.The airstrike was carried out late Saturday as the group concluded its military training exercises.
