17 militants have been killed in a drone strike and internal clash between two armed groups in eastern Nangarhar province.
A statement issued on Monday by the police headquarters of Nangarhar states that three militants were killed in a drone strike and 14 others in internal clash of the militant groups.
The drone strike carried out in Kariz area of Chaparhar District left Qari Samiullah alias Sangin, Shakur S/O Abdul Hamid and Abdullah S/O Mullah Tasang killed yesterday.
Also, the deadly clash erupted between two insurgent groups in Milwa area of Nazian District leaving 14 militants killed and two others wounded.
Two houses belonging to one of the groups have been burned by the other during the clash.
Although, the statement issued by the police headquarters does not identify the two groups but before this incident deadly skirmishes have taken place between Hizb-i-Islami and Taliban and Daesh and Taliban in Nangarhar province.
However, the recent clashes were between Daesh and Taliban.
